Itinerary
Day 1 : Tsavo West National Park
By road: Approx. 250 km / 5 hours
By SGR: 4.5 hours to Mtito Andei + 30 minutes transfer
By flight: Approx. 1 hour to Kilaguni Airstrip
Begin your safari with a morning departure from Nairobi, traveling either by road, SGR train, or a scenic domestic flight (optional upgrades available). Upon arrival at Tsavo West National Park, enjoy a game drive en route to your accommodation, the Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, situated within a dramatic volcanic landscape and overlooking a busy waterhole.
After a delicious lunch, take an afternoon excursion to the famous Mzima Springs, where hippos and fish can be seen through a unique underwater viewing chamber. Optional sundowner stop at Shetani Lava Flow before returning to the lodge for dinner and your first night in the wild.

Day 2 : Tsavo East National Park
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, check out and transfer to Tsavo East National Park, crossing about 100 kilometers in roughly 2 hours. Enter via Voi Gate, arriving at the renowned Ashnil Aruba Lodge, nestled near Aruba Dam, a prime wildlife-viewing location.
Spend your afternoon relaxing at the lodge or swimming in the pool before heading out for a sunset game drive to see red elephants, big cats, and herds of plains game roaming the vast savannah. Return to the lodge for a hearty dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 : Tsavo East National Park
Today offers a perfect mix of wildlife and culture. After breakfast, set off on a half-day game drive deep into Tsavo East. Explore the Galana River, Mudanda Rock, and possibly Lugard Falls, with a packed lunch or return for lunch at the lodge.
In the afternoon, visit an authentic Maasai village located near the park, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional songs, dances, and a tour of the homesteads. Learn about the Maasai lifestyle, customs, beadwork, and even participate in a mock jumping competition or fire-making demonstration. It’s a memorable cultural experience and a chance to support a local community (small entry fee applies).
Return to the lodge in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and your final night in Tsavo.

Day 4 : Nairobi
By road: Approx. 330 km / 6 hours
By SGR: 4.5 hours from Voi
By flight: Approx. 1 hour from Aruba or Voi Airstrip
Enjoy a final early morning game drive before returning for breakfast. Check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, either by road, SGR train, or scheduled flight (optional upgrade with prior arrangement). A short stop for lunch (at your own cost) may be made along the way. Arrival in Nairobi is expected in the late afternoon, marking the end of your Tsavo Twin Parks Escape, a perfect blend of wildlife, scenery, and culture.
