Itinerary
Day 1 : Amboseli National Park
By road: Approx. 240 km / 4 hours
By flight: Approx. 1 hour to Amboseli Airstrip
Depart Nairobi in the morning, traveling either by road or on a scenic flight (optional upgrade available). Arrive at the Ol Tukai Lodge (or similar), your luxurious base with panoramic views of Kilimanjaro.
Enjoy lunch and an afternoon game drive across Amboseli’s famous plains. Keep an eye out for large elephant herds, big cats, and a variety of bird species. End the day with a magical Kilimanjaro sunset before returning to the lodge for dinner.
Day 2 : Amboseli National Park
Start your day with a sunrise game drive, capturing Amboseli’s wildlife in the golden light beneath Kilimanjaro’s snowy crown. Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading to Observation Hill, where a short climb rewards you with sweeping 360° views over the park’s shimmering swamps, open plains, and herds of elephants below.
After lunch and a brief rest, set out for an afternoon game drive, tracking big cats, elephants, and the park’s rich birdlife. As the light softens, continue to a nearby Maasai village for a warm welcome of song and dance, a tour of traditional manyattas, and stories of a way of life unchanged for generations. Conclude the day at a scenic sundowner spot, raising a toast as the sky turns crimson over Africa’s highest peak.
Day 3 : Nairobi
By road: Approx. 240 km / 4 hours
By flight: Approx. 1 hour
After an optional early game drive and breakfast, check out and begin your return journey to Nairobi. Arrive by early afternoon — with memory cards full and hearts full of Amboseli magic.
